What is a Negative Ion Generator?

A Negative Ion Generator, also known as an air ionizer, is a device that utilizes high voltage to ionize air molecules, producing negatively charged ions (anions).

Negative ions are particles that carry one or more extra electrons, giving them a net negative charge. This device generates negatively charged oxygen ions, which are then released into the surrounding environment.

These ions work by:

  • Attaching to positively charged particles such as dust, smoke, bacteria, and allergens
  • Causing fine particles to cluster together, making them heavier and easier to settle
  • Naturally improving overall air quality

Working Mechanism
The device operates an integrated electronic system controlled by a Microcontroller Unit (MCU). When the power button is activated, battery energy is delivered to the generator module after stabilization through the internal circuit system.

The DC current is processed through an Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) protection system to ensure circuit safety. It is then converted into high-voltage AC, which is subsequently rectified and filtered into high-voltage DC.

This high-voltage DC is transmitted to a carbon-based emission tip, generating high-speed electron emissions (E-). These electrons bind with oxygen molecules (O2)in the air to form negative ions.

These microscopic negative ions actively attach to airborne particles such as dust and pollutants, causing them to cluster and settle. This includes harmful particles such as PM2.5 and even particles as small as 1 µm.

The system automatically shuts down when the operating time is completed or when the battery is depleted, ensuring device safety and longevity.
